Just a quick peek-a-boo post to ardent fans of mine (who are still coming here LOL):
Got through Oschool Recital auditions!
But not sure if I should be happy or not cuz I auditioned for Locking and Hiphop,
and only made through for Locking. (17 ppl chosen only)
*quick info: I took up locking course in Oschool during my absence in my blogspace, and finally found my genre which I can relate to the most! yeah locking is it (:
Still remember back in my nooooob StudioWu days in Dec 2006, when I just started out street styles, I'm very much like every street style there is, I cant possibly choose one.
Yes and then this year, I found it after much experiences! :)200+ auditioned for Hiphop but only 48 ppl made it, which is sadly not me or not sure if im in. argh.
anyway found out the reason: Locking and Hiphop's timing clashes, so can only pick 1 or the instructors pick the best for you.
In any case: All of us who are in our Hiphop crew and auditioned(me, colin, suling, ain, cherie, angie, brendon), at least made through 1 genre for the recital! Cheers!
Free lessons from Oschool :D
Practice dates clashed with my hiphop lessons in RP though, nvm will chiong for both! xD
Since our Hiphop IG dont give us a space on stage to lock, we lock outside. (sound so Step Up 2, anw)
Okay or rather they only want Breaking or Hiphop. or Girls Hiphop?

In my hiatus, I learnt even much more about dancing.
It's not just Steps, Techniques, Musicality and Facial expressions (kinda stereotyped during my Chinese Dance days) which what I thought dance was about, really.
There's Freestyle: Character and Groove and Hits, which brings someone out.
Like when someone performs you may go: hey thats him alright.
Because it's like a different language in aesthetic form.
Tried out for a solo Locking Competition too, but yeah didnt went far.
Learnt what I've done wrong and practice!

Why my post is all about dance?
Dance is me, so accept that. :)
Aiya school also nothing to talk about!
anyway RP is like either friends or studies.
as in you either wish to widen your pool of friends or have nice set of grades to graduate.
done my Professional Profilling and has been accepted 3 weeks ago :D
Oh yes I realized I've finished a semester of Year 2 in between my hiatus.
HAHAHA. (yea so i blog once a sem?)
Yr 1 was pretty general through the whole polytechnic.
Yr 2 was insanely packed with IT theories and with more programming and codings.
So not Jervenne but I gappled well enough. At least I know I've an advantage over the bell-curve moderation for Understand Tests (if u get it).
It's really my 1st time experiencing many people who dont give a damn for their studies, as I'm used to being one of the bottom in my competitive Secondary Sch days, and always be on guard in Yr 1.
Oh wells, they like it dont they?
and made my life easier too.
Cant wait for the upcoming semester, as I expect more same-tuned students to be in my class, as I took up a Yr 3 biz module to give myself more time during Yr3! :)
OHOH I'm working for Creative @ Suntec's IT Roadshow on 28AUG - 31 AUG, catch me there! :D
okay and some pics in case yall forgotten how I look like haha.
RP's Momentum: 1st Biggest performance by the whole crew

Bboys & Bgirls performed IN Esplande Theatre!
Beat that! :D
damn the holding rooms are DOPE and the place is sooo fine.

Style Groovas in NDP mood at sch

Had a BBOY battle in between our crews (split into 10 teams then battle)
Me, ain and Suling were in 1 team, being 2 lockers and 1 hiphop-er as a disadvantage, we got in 2nd?! LOL
I've no idea how we did that.
But ya fun luh..
Jervenne doing her thang! HAHA.
